MEETING MINUTES
AUGUST 14, 2025
The Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority met in regular session on the above date at 9:00 A.M. in the Tom Baker Room, Bismarck, North Dakota. Chairman Jim Christianson presiding.
Members present: Jim Christianson, Josh Keller, Jake Axtman, Todd Kovash, and Jon Burger
Members absent: None
Staff Members: Jeremy Petron, Dennis Torgerson, Corey Voegele, and Daniel Nairn
Others present: None
MINUTES
- Chairman Jim Christianson called for consideration of the minutes of the June 12, 2025 meeting (no meeting held
in July).
MOTION: A motion was made by Todd Kovash, seconded by Josh Keller and unanimously approved by all
members present that the minutes of the June 12, 2025 meeting be approved.
REVIEW OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
MOTION: A motion was made by Jon Burger, seconded by Todd Kovash with a roll call vote, Jon-aye,
Josh-aye, Todd-aye, Jake-aye and Jim-aye to approve the June and July financials.
STATUS UPDATE ON PARKADE REPAIRS PROJECT
- Jeremy Petron reported that Restoration Systems, Inc. is nearly completed. Remaining items include green-level
traffic coating and carbon-fiber repairs to be completed weekend of August 23rd.
UPDATE ON PARKADE BUILDING VACANT SPACE
- Jeremy Petron reported that a 2-year lease has been executed with Global Neighbors to operate a thrift store in the
previous Thrifty White Pharmacy space. Jeremy also reported that Decoteau Trauma Therapy tenant will be
vacating end of October. The commercial space is being marketed through CRA Group.
OTHER BUSINESS
- Pay Requestsfrom Restoration Systems, Inc. for $40,858.87; Walker Consultants for $4,000; and CW Structural
for $10,925.00.
MOTION: A motion was made by Jake Axtman, seconded by Todd Kovash with a roll call vote, Jon-aye,
Josh-aye, Todd-aye, Jake-aye and Jim-aye to approve the pay requests.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Chairman Jim Christianson declared the Bismarck Municipal Parking Authority adjourned at 9:14 A.M. and will meet again at the next regular scheduled meeting on September 11, 2025.
